A desirable 1797 small eagle, draped bust dollar graded VF 25 by NGC. These early draped bust dollars have been in very strong demand lately among collectors and have been extremely difficult to find. This particular coin is the 10 by 6 stars style and holds the perfect amount of detail for the grade. It does have some minor adjustment marks on the reverse which is very common for these early dollars.
This early American coin has a total mintage of only 7,776. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 1,000 of these have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 43 graded to be in 'Very Fine' condition by NGC.
