Buffet Crampon intermediate oboe, model 4052 (lightly used)

SELLER BACKGROUND
I am an individual, not a business. I have been a middle school band director in Texas public schools for 14 years.
INSTRUMENT SPECIFICATIONS
This is a Buffet model 4052 oboe, which is an older Buffet intermediate model that is no longer produced. It has a modified conservatory system, with a third octave key, left F key, forked F resonance key, and low Bb vent key. It also has a resin lining in the upper joint to prevent cracking. It does not have a split ring D key or a low C/C# “banana” trill key.
This model is comparable to the current model 4062, except the 4062 has both a split ring D key and a low C/C# "banana" trill key.
INSTRUMENT HISTORY AND CONDITION
My parents bought this oboe brand new for me in May of 2002, just before I graduated high school. I played on it my first year of college as a music education major, but then I switched to a university-owned Lorée. So, while this instrument is nearly 20 years old, it has only had one year of serious playing time on it.
I’ve played it lightly and occasionally since then, mostly demonstrating for students. It had some light maintenance about 8 years ago, including oiling,
adjusting
key screws, replacing some bumper corks, and replacing both tenon corks.
The instrument has no cracks or chips in the wood and no damaged keys or pads. Light tarnish on some key work.
SHIPPING METHOD
Shipping will be via USPS Retail Ground. Due to the value of the instrument, Insurance Restricted Delivery service will also be added, which is why the shipping cost is as high as it is. Restricted Delivery means you must either be present to sign for the package when it is delivered by USPS or you must
pick
it up at your local post office and sign for it. Insurance coverage of ,500 will be provided.
RETURN/REFUND POLICY
I believe the nature of buying a woodwind instrument is such that a buyer should be able to play test the instrument before a sale becomes final. As such, I will accept a return if initiated (shipped) no later than 14 calendar days from the date USPS marks the instrument as delivered to the buyer. In other places in this listing it is stated that "Seller does not accept returns," but that is because the eBay template where a seller can specify a return policy does not allow for customization of terms as stated below.
Terms for acceptable return
Buyer assumes all costs associated with the return.
Buyer must ship back the instrument using the same method as it was originally sent: USPS Retail Ground with Insurance Restricted Delivery, with an insurance value of ,500. Proof of purchase of this method of shipping in the form of a postal receipt will be required, which will also serve as proof that the return was initiated within 14 calendar days.
Upon receiving the instrument back and inspecting it to ensure that there is no damage and that all included accessories were returned, I will immediately initiate a refund.
If a return shipment is not made with USPS within 14 calendar days from the date the instrument was originally delivered to the buyer, no return will be accepted.
