Description:
Power level meter driver board, imported original chip, with dynamic compression function, high input impedance, high sensitivity, with current amplification function, with backlight soft start function. Applicable to the tube preamp, transistor preamp, IC preamp headphone amplifier and so on.
Compared with other VU meter driver boards, this board adds a first-stage cathode follower to the input section. This circuit is generally used only in the high-end, professional-grade preamp, it can be used as the input and output impedance matching, and it can also act as a current amplifier to greatly increase the sensitivity, and to avoid installing the VU meter driver board to affect the original system.
At the same time, the board's backlight power supply has also been improved. It adopts a segmented power supply mode. When it is turned on, it is preheated with 1/5 of the normal operating current (about 50mA). The time is about 8 seconds!! Be patient! After 8 seconds, the filament will be connected to the normal operating current (about 250mA), the meter backlight light on, using this power supply mode, can extend the life of the backlight bulb by at least 2 times, you do not need to consider the backlight lamp life!
